Stacey A. McCullough Installed as the DCBA President for 2019-2020

WHEATON, ILL. (PRWEB) JULY 16, 2019

Attorney Stacey A. McCullough, of counsel with Mirabella, Kincaid, Frederick & Mirabella, LLC, was recently installed as the 98th President of the DuPage County Bar Association (DCBA) for 2019-2020.

Founded in 1879, the DuPage County Bar Association serves the attorneys, judiciary and citizens of DuPage County, Illinois in providing legal education, business development and networking opportunities, designed to enhance and benefit our membership and community, while upholding the highest degree of civility and professionalism. With over 2,000 member attorneys, DCBA has been recognized and commended in the legal community both at the state and national levels for its programs, publications, and community outreach.

Stacey received her J.D. from Loyola University School of Law in Chicago in 1994, and a B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1991. Her dedication to access to justice began with ten years of service to the indigent accused while at the DuPage County Public Defender’s Office and continued when she entered private practice in 2004. She joined MKFM Law in 2018 where she continues to focus her practice in criminal, juvenile, traffic, and school law litigation.

Always an active and involved member of the legal community, Stacey has served on many DCBA sections and affiliated committees, including the DuPage Bar Foundation, Public Interest and Law Initiative’s 18th Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee, and the Criminal Law and Practice Section. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and its General Assembly; appointed to the ISBA Traffic Laws and Courts Section Council; and member of the Illinois Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, DuPage Association of Women Lawyers and Kane County Bar Association. Stacey is an appointed Director of the Lawyers Trust Fund of Illinois and appointed member of the inaugural Leadership Council of Haymarket Center.

Stacey encourages the members of the DCBA to give back and do more with their chosen profession. Her year’s presidential theme is “Don’t Just Fly, Soar,” highlighting her endeavor to enhance equal access to justice. She explains her dedication by remarking, “as attorneys, we already have the means to ‘fly,’ but by doing more for those in need and bringing pro bono opportunities to the forefront, we can truly ‘soar’.”
